THE WINE STUDIO ENTRUSTED WITH THE "WINES FROM SPAIN" - ICEX EDUCATION PROGRAMME
The Wine Studio has recently been appointed to develop the Wines from Spain Education programme, after presenting their project to the public tender published by ICEX. The Wine Studio project is very much focused on the future, value and diversity of Spanish Wines. The work will involve creating the concept, editing and layout of study materials as well as the actual instruction during the next years.
We are really enthusiastic about this project: Spanish Wines are at their most exciting point ever and this is a unique opportunity for Spain to create a canon of knowledge that reflects our current state as leaders of classic categories, our native varieties, our territories and the great winemaking in place in every corner of the country.
To carry out this project, The Wine Studio will work with the leading voices in the sector and the main experts in Spanish wines (meaning experts abroad? If not, wouldn’t the leading voices also be the main experts within Spain?). The training will be both online (tutored through the ICEX online learning platform) and classroom-based. During the first stage, the approach and framework will be addressed; secondly, the materials will be written and laid out; finally, the actual instruction will take place at regular intervals.
On January 21st, the plan was presented in Madrid to the Commercial Offices of Spain in the principal wine markets. This is a project that analysts and wine department heads in these countries consider fundamental, and to which the ICEX Food and Wines from Spain department is devoting significant time and resources.
